British Weight Lifting are looking for two motivated and enthusiastic individuals to support the development of weightlifting in the North of England.

Vacancy: Regional Pathway Coach

We are looking to recruit a Regional Pathway Coach for the North East and the North West Region. The role requires a minimum of 20 days per year which will involve working with the Talent Pathway manager to deliver coaching at training camps and competitions. 

BWL are responsible for the development of a performance pathway which supports and enhances the preparation and performance of athletes with the potential to succeed at major championship events including the Commonwealth and Olympic Games.

The ideal applicant for one of these roles should be able to demonstrate strong understanding of weightlifting technique, have a good understanding of applied sport physiology/ psychology/ biomechanics and be proactive in seeking new knowledge or expertise when required.

A successful candidate will collect, analyse and present objective feedback to both athletes and coaches and providing safe, effective and logical performance solutions where required.

Applicants must hold a valid BWL coaching license, be able produce a satisfactory DBS check, and possess a first aid qualification which is in date.
