Job Title: Education Support Officer
Hours: Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Salary Range: £22,500 - £24,000
Location: Homeworker
Responsible to: Education Operations Manager
Noting the nature of an National Governing Body, the role may require work outside of normal business hours including weekends.
Main purpose of the Job:
• To support the Education Team with coordinating education packages and services in line with best practice, agreed processes and deadlines.
• To support BWL customers and members with enquiries, acting as a first point of contact and providing a high-quality customer service experience
Key Responsibilities
Respond to enquiries from customers, members, athletes, coaches, officials, clubs and suppliers (via email and telephone) and provide effective and informative customer service support, as well as acting as the first point of contact for several inboxes:
Co-ordinate education and membership services including:
booking of courses
booking of venues
liaising with external educators/assessors/IQAs
processing individual and group bookings
processing of ULNs, registrations and certifications
processing of partner bookings
membership processing
Maximise data collection with customers and partners through accurate reporting and effective use of BWL systems.
Assist in increasing operational efficiency of the education team and help achieve financial targets and strategic goals.
Maintain individual member and club records on the Sport80 CRM system and support individuals and clubs to update these as required
Approve/refer qualifications uploaded by members into their Sport80 CRM profile.
Maintain the BWL e-learning platform including:
ensuring appropriate access for learners
ensuring appropriate access for educators, assessors and IQAs
ensuring results, grades and assessments are processed correctly
Assist the Education Team in the processing of education finances including updating the monthly tracking report.
Provide regular reports to contribute towards the delivery of the operational plan
Attend education events as required and provide appropriate support services during such events
Attend competitions as required and provide appropriate support services during the events
Assist with the implementation of operational plans to maximise revenue generation and meet annual targets.
Any other general tasks to support the work of BWL

Job Description
Job Title: Performance Pathway Manager (Maternity cover)
Hours: Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £32,000-34,000
Location: Homeworker but ideally based in the Midlands
Responsible to: Head of Performance - Weightlifting
This is a fixed term position for a maximum of 15 months.
The role will require weekly travel to the Midlands area and some weekend travel and overnight stays to support the delivery of camps and squads
Main purpose of the Job
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for BWL’s Pathway Officer, GB Talent Transfer and Para Powerlifting Development programmes
• Provide excellent performance management for all GB Talent Transfer and GB Para Powerlifting Development programme athletes
• Work closely with the BWL Pathway Officers and relevant coaching teams to co-ordinate and deliver annual recruitment events, camp programmes and athlete discovery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide line management and leadership for BWL’s Pathway Officer Team and in doing so effectively ensure the co-ordination and delivery of the following programmes to a high standard:
BWL Talent Academy accreditation programme
BWL Raise The Bar programme
BWL People Development programme
Work closely with Lead Coaches to co-ordinate the annual selection, induction, goal setting, review and exit processes for the following programmes:
GB Talent Transfer programme – Weightlifting
GB Development programme – Para powerlifting
Work closely with the Performance Pathway Administrator to ensure accurate tracking and monitoring of KPIs required for annual / quarterly reporting processes for key stakeholders, Sport England, Sport Scotland and UK Sport.
Build, develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders including athletes, coaches, talent academies, performance hubs and funding bodies that contribute to performance pathways.
Build and maintain partnerships with key NGBs and partner organisations operating in the wider sport and fitness sectors to facilitate Talent Transfer and Talent Identification at all levels (National / Regional / Local) for both Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting.
Support the Head of Performance (Weightlifting) to implement BWL’s desired performance culture:
Develop an environment and culture that is more conducive to athlete development
Develop an environment and culture that is more open to learning
Work effectively with the Head of Performance (Weightlifting) to ensure there is integration and wider organisational support in areas such as education, competitions, communications, IT and digital developments, governance/compliance and Board reporting.
Support the wider business with any projects requested.

Job Title: Performance Pathway Administrator
Salary: £23,810 (full time equivalent)
Hours: Part time (16 hours - 4 mornings)
Location: Home Worker
Responsible to: Performance Pathway Manager
Noting the nature of a National Governing Body, the role may require work outside of normal business hours, including weekends.
Job Purpose:
• The Performance Pathway Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day organisational, administrative, and logistical support to the Performance Pathway Manager and Head of Performance (Weightlifting).
• The role is of key operational importance and meeting deadlines for planning processes is essential to enable the Performance Pathway team to achieve its strategic aims and milestone targets.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Performance Pathway Manager and BWL Head of Performance (Weightlifting).
Act as the main point of contact for parents and athletes in relation to the planning and administration of workshops, training squads, camps, and online learning.
Act as the main point of contact for booking hotels, training and catering facilities with key partners.
Ensure that processes for capturing key information in advance of camps from athletes, staff, and parents are maintained and information shared on-time.
Ensure that key information and schedules are shared with athletes, staff, and parents on time
Work with the Head of Performance (Weightlifting) to co-ordinate selection and strategy meetings. Keep accurate minutes of discussions, share key actions with attendees, and communicate selection decisions with athletes.
Maintain accurate registers of attendance for all training squads, camps, workshops and online education. Ensure that registers and other key information (such as certificates of completion) are kept up to date and stored centrally in-line with GDPR.
Support the wider business with any projects requested.
