GB University Team Selected for World University Weightlifting Championships

British Weight Lifting (BWL) is pleased to congratulate four athletes who have been selected to represent the GB University Team at the 2026 World University Weightlifting Championships in Doha, Qatar, from 8-12 September 2026.

The championships will bring together some of the world's best student weightlifters, providing an opportunity for athletes to represent both their country and university on the international stage.

The selected athletes have earned their place through strong performances and continued commitment to their development in weightlifting.

With representatives from the University of Birmingham, University College London, Brunel University London and the University of Nottingham, the team demonstrates the growing strength of weightlifting across higher education institutions.
