On the first day of the Championship, those watching the Green platform, and the last two groups on the Blue platform, were treated to some great technical lifting from the next generation of young lifters.  with the U10 and U12 boys and girls showing how it should be done. A special mention to Camryn Carter, Lily Fiskel-Middleton and Milo Northfield, who all scored maximum technical points.

The record breaking continued on the Sunday. Charlotte Whalley set a new Snatch record of 80kg in the U20 59kg category. Those watching the last groups on the Red and Blue platforms were witness to outstanding new records from two U20 lifters. Lottie Absolom broke all three records with a Snatch of 97kg, Clean & Jerk of 115kg and a total of 212kg in the 87kg category. Matching Lottie’s sweep of records, Jasper Hilton, in the 109+kg category. came away with a 136kg Snatch, a 176kg Clean & Jerk and a 312kg total.

Congratulations not only to the record breakers but to all lifters who participated and helped make the event a huge success. Our thanks go to our indomitable technical officials who battled through considerable technical issues and without whom we could not run our events. Last but by no means least, our grateful thanks to our loaders, who worked exceptionally hard all weekend.
