Ben Richens, GB Para Powerlifting Coach, commented:

“This competition was of a particularly high standard with athletes giving their all out on the platform. With some exciting performances from international debutants and several solid top ten performances from established lifters, in the first mandatory competition in the LA Paralympic Games qualification pathway we are in a great position going forward".

Matthew Curtain, CEO of British Weight Lifting praised the team’s efforts, saying:

“Every athlete represented Great Britain with commitment and courage. Their performances in Cairo reflect the hard work being done across our para powerlifting programme. As always, a thank you goes out to our sponsors who make all of this possible.”

British Weight Lifting congratulates all lifters, coaches, and support staff involved and looks ahead to the next phase of international competition.
