British International Open 2019

This year’s British Weight Lifting Championships has been officially confirmed as an IWF Bronze Status event. In light of this development the competition will now be referred to as the British International Open 2019.

The competition will once again be returning to The Ricoh Arena, Coventry between 8-9 June and will act as a qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.In addition to weightlifting the weekend will also feature Para Powerlifting, Masters and Development competitions.

International athletes will now also be eligible to compete, and the competition is expected to attract some of the best weightlifters from around the world.

In addition to the weightlifting events, the weekend will also feature the running of the annual British Para Powerlifting Championships.

Details regarding media accreditation, tickets, and the entry process will be released over the coming weeks.
