Weightlifting Wales Vacancy
Weightlifting Wales have an exciting opportunity as they look to appoint a new Performance Pathway Manager.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in coaching at elite and development levels and integrating sport science, sport medicine and training programmes. They will have experience of generating, implementing and monitoring plans and budgets.
A sound knowledge of international level competition circuits, training methodologies, principles behind the long-term development of athletes and current safeguarding legislation and best practice are essential requirements.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to inspire, organize and motivate others. They will build and maintain relationships whilst having the self-organization skills to manage many projects simultaneously and deliver under pressure.
They must have a valid driving license, enhanced DBS, a valid safeguarding certification and obtain a British Weightlifting coach license within 6 months of starting in post.
Being goal oriented, a good team player, having a ‘can do’ attitude and demonstrating integrity and high ethical standards are essential attributes.
Being a Welsh language speaker and experience of coaching elite and development level weightlifters would both be desirable, but are not essential.
