Want to be a Technical Official at the European Junior Championships?

British Weight Lifting (BWL) is inviting expressions of interest from qualified Technical Officials for nomination to officiate at the 2026 EWF European Junior and U23 Championships, taking place in Durres, Albania from 12 to 19 October 2026.

Member Federations in good standing are eligible to nominate Technical Officials for consideration by the European Weightlifting Federation (EWF). BWL is now seeking interest from suitably qualified officials who wish to be put forward.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for nomination, British Technical Officials must:

• Hold Category 1 or Category 2 International Technical Official status.
• Have officiated at a minimum of three national events within the previous twelve months.

Officials who meet these criteria are encouraged to submit an expression of interest.

How to Apply

The completed nomination form must be submitted to BWL no later than:

12:00 30 July 2026

Applications should be sent via email to: competitions@britishweightlifting.org

Nominations will be reviewed and prioritised by the BWL Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Events Operations Manager.

Important Information

It is important to note that:

• All final appointments are made by the European Weightlifting Federation, not by British Weight Lifting.
• Selected International Technical Officials will be required to cover their own participation costs (flight only).
