Confirmed speakers for this year’s conference include:

Emily Campbell: A British Olympic weightlifter, Emily made history as the first British woman to win an Olympic weightlifting medal, claiming silver in the women’s +87 kg category at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Before her Olympic success, she shone at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, where she won gold and set a new games record in the snatch event. Her journey and accomplishments make her an inspiring figure for aspiring female athletes in the UK.

Adam Bishop: A renowned strongman competitor, Adam is celebrated for his performances in the prestigious World’s Strongest Man competition. With a background in sports science and professional rugby, he quickly rose to prominence, winning Britain’s Strongest Man twice (2020 and 2023) and achieving multiple top 10 finishes at the World’s Strongest Man. Beyond his competitive success, Adam is a respected coach and fitness expert, sharing his passion and knowledge with aspiring athletes.

Dr. Meghan Bentley: A research fellow in sports nutrition and psychology, Dr. Bentley currently serves as the sports nutritionist for GB para-powerlifting. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition from Sheffield Hallam University, where she received the Yakult Award, and an MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Leeds Beckett University, earning the Dean's Prize. Her PhD focused on the dietary behaviors of elite athletes and was conducted in partnership with Leeds Beckett University and the English Institute of Sport. As a Practitioner Registrant of the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENR) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), Meghan is dedicated to advancing sports nutrition.

Dr. Sinead Roberts: A SENR-registered Performance Nutritionist and Lecturer in Sport Nutrition & Exercise Physiology at the University of Westminster, Dr. Roberts specializes in weight-making and strength-power sports. She joined British Weightlifting (BWL) in 2024 as their nutritionist, quickly becoming a vital part of the team and traveling to competitions. Sinead graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Biology and earned her PhD from UCL, focusing on cellular responses to growth factors and nutrient availability. Her research centers on weight-cutting strategies and performance in combat sports.

Aimee Anaya Everett: Aimee is a Senior International Coach, co-owner of Catalyst Athletics, and Head Lifting Coach for Mat Fraser's HWPO Training. After a successful career as an athlete, including time at the Olympic Training Center, she transitioned to coaching and operating Catalyst Athletics. With 29 years in Olympic weightlifting, Aimee became the second female International Coach and the first American woman to coach at the Olympics for USA Weightlifting.
