Emily Muskett Re-Elected to BOA Athlete Commission
We’re proud to announce that Emily Muskett has been re-elected to the British Olympic Association (BOA) Athlete Commission.
A Commonwealth Games gold medallist, European Champion, and Tokyo 2020 Olympian, Emily’s re-election highlights her peers’ confidence in her ability to represent and advocate for athletes.
The BOA Athlete Commission ensures that the voices of British Olympians are at the centre of key decisions made by the BOA. Its members, drawn from current and former Olympians, advise on matters like athlete welfare, performance support, and fostering a sustainable and inclusive sporting environment.
Emily’s achievements speak volumes. From her Commonwealth gold to her podium finishes at the European and World Championships, she has consistently represented British sport at the highest level. During her previous term on the Commission, she championed the inclusion of progression sports within the Olympic framework, ensuring a broader representation of athletic disciplines.
Reflecting on her re-election, Emily said: “I am deeply honoured to continue serving on the BOA Athlete Commission. Representing the interests and concerns of my fellow athletes is a responsibility I hold with the utmost respect and commitment. Together, we will keep striving for a sporting environment that supports athletes at every stage of their journey.”
