Madias Ngake wins Clean & Jerk bronze at the 2025 European Championships

Madias Ngake won a bronze medal in the Clean & Jerk in the women’s 87kg category at the 2025 European Weightlifting Championships in Sofia.

Lifting in Group A, Madias opened her Clean & Jerk series with a successful 130kg attempt, securing her place on the podium. Despite two narrow misses at 134kg and 136kg, her first lift was enough to earn her the bronze.

Earlier in the session, she was unable to register a successful lift in the Snatch, narrowly missing all three attempts at 112kg. 

This result adds to a strong week for British lifters at the European Championships, with medals now won across multiple weight categories.
