Lockdown Lift Off Round 5 Results

Lockdown Lift Off Round 5 went back to basics as lifters across the UK were challenged to complete the snatch and clean & jerk ahead of the launch of the regional open series

Every submission was reviewed by a BWL Technical Official, with a comment left on the video to indicate whether each attempt was successful, and any areas of improvement.  In addition, each submission was given a rating out of five stars based on the technique.  

Although the technique points don’t count towards the score, the placings are based on the highest successful attempt.

There was an upsurge in entries as 23 lifters got to grips with the virtual platform in preparation for its virtual open series debut.

GB Internationals Fraer Morrow and Sarah Davies won their respective classes in the Women’s events while Commonwealth Medallist Owen Boxall was also among the winners.

Also special mention to Martyn Riley who competed in all 5 rounds, winning his class in each event.

Hallam Barbell won the best team Pulseroll prize with 4 lifters (Elicia Agar, Anushka Bovill, Beth Patmore and Gareth Braisdell) contributing to their total.  Second place went to Fareham who had 3 lifters scoring points for their team (Lou Herron, Karen Hawen and Cheryl Williams).
