It is an exciting time to join British Weight Lifting – the National Governing Body responsible for weightlifting and para powerlifting. We currently have the following vacancies and look forward to receiving applications from interested and appropriately qualified individuals.

Talent Lead (Maternity Cover)

Job Title: Talent Lead (Maternity Cover)

Location: Home based but regular travel to the Midlands area will be required

Closing date: 7 October 2022

Interviews: Will be held via conference call

Job Purpose:

Co-lead and deliver BWL’s “Progression Strategy 3 - Build a broader and more diverse base of talent” to achieve its strategic objectives in-line with UKS and Home nation funding organisations for 2026.

Support the Head of Performance - Weightlifting and Coach Development Lead to implement BWL’s
desired performance culture.

Build positive and mutually beneficial relationships with key partners including UK Sport, EIS, BOA, and home nation organisations and committees.

Work effectively with the Head of Performance - Weightlifting to ensure there is integration and wider organisational support in areas such as education, competitions, communications, IT and digital developments, governance and compliance and board reporting.

Team Support Officer

Job Title: Team Support Officer

Reports to: Finance Manager/Lead Safeguarding Officer

Location: Head Office (Leeds) / Hybrid

Closing date: 14 October 2022

Job purpose:

To support the organisation by providing excellent customer service to BWL members and customers.

To provide administrative support to a range of teams including the Senior Leadership team, finance,
competitions and performance.
