The Regional Open gives your athletes a stage, your volunteers real experience, and your club a chance to shine, all with full support from BWL.
The event can run over one or two days, depending on entries. It is flexible, exciting, and a great way to grow participation in your region.
Why Host?
Hosting a Regional Open lets you:
- Show your club is competition-ready
- Fill your club with BWL members, competitors and fans of the sport
- Build skills for volunteers and officials
- Earn revenue through entry fees and optional catering
Entry fees are £35, and clubs can earn around £2,200 based on 100 entries. That is money your club can reinvest in facilities, equipment, or future events.
Support from BWL
BWL will be there every step of the way. We provide:
- A staff member to assist on event days
- Competition setup on Sport80
- Technical equipment if needed
- Coverage for BWL transport and accommodation
- Trophies for winners
- Guidance on event management
What Clubs Provide
Clubs supply space, equipment, and volunteers to run a smooth, safe event. This includes warm-up areas, competition platforms, weigh-in rooms, spectator seating, and event-day volunteers. Optional extras like on-site catering can boost revenue and improve the experience for everyone.
Get Involved
If your club has the space and ambition, hosting a Regional Open is your chance to step into competition delivery with confidence.
