Have you got what it takes to become one of the best coaches in the country?
British Weight Lifting is seeking to identify coaches who have the potential to develop the next generation of international lifter and take athletes to international competition.
This program will act as a peer learning group for coaches to use other coaches’ experiences to facilitate learning about becoming a high-performing coach in the sport of weightlifting. In addition to this each coach will get personalised support from the British Weight Lifting Coach Developer. Applicants will need to commit to a minimum 3 hours a month for 12 months both as a group and as an individual online and in person.
The Performance Coach Development Program Aims
To uncover what it is you do well as a coach and seeking to find ways for you to challenge and develop your coaching. To solidifying existing good practice and support the coach to push their development. In the same way you as a coach expect your athletes to grow and develop as an athlete, this program will help you grow and develop you as a coach.
Please note as this program is likely to be over-subscribed, people are encouraged to apply as those who are not successful may be offered a scaled down version of the program or may be given first preference for the next intake.

- A cover letter which indicates clearly how you meet the criteria. (2 pages maximum)
