As a BWL iNED, Nikki will also Chair the Finance and Audit Committee.

Nikki has 30 years of accountancy experience at blue chip companies.  She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is currently the Head of Internal Controls at Pets at Home. Her career includes commercial and reporting roles with particularly strong corporate governance, internal controls, process improvement and finance transformation knowledge. Moreover, Nikki has a long association and experience in grassroots sport and the functional fitness sector.

Nikki said "My motivation to support BWL is two-fold. Firstly, I have a personal understanding of weightlifting through my own CrossFit journey, but I have also seen first-hand my daughter’s progression through the support BWL has provided. This has given me unique insight into the athlete’s journey and the importance of strong support systems.  Secondly, I am really excited to be able to combine my corporate career with my sporting passion to ensure BWL continues to have a solid financial base and reporting structure."

Independent BWL Chair Angus Kinnear commented "Independent Non-Executive Directors provide a vital role at BWL contributing to the NGB’s direction of travel and helping to advise on the delivery of the company’s strategic plan. I am very grateful to our Board members, old and new, for the time and expertise they give to ensure that our sport is well governed."
