EWF EXTRAORDINARY PARTIAL ELECTORAL CONGRESS – 17 APRIL 2026

The European Weightlifting Federation will hold an extraordinary Partial Electoral Congress on 17 April 2026 in Batumi, Georgia.

BWL would like to invite expressions of interest from any eligible member, with the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct, who feel they have the required experience to be nominated for the vacant roles. 

The vacant positions at the EWF are as follows: 

EWF Coaching, Research and Scientific Committee, 1 vacant position

EWF Medical Committee, 4 vacant positions

In order for the BWL Board to nominate individuals ahead of the deadline set by the EWF of 17 January 2026, BWL is seeking expressions of interest that include a brief explanation as to their relevant experience and why individuals feel they are appropriate to represent BWL at an International level. The deadline to submit the completed forms is 5pm 12 January 2026. All expressions of interest should be sent to: tara.drake@britishweightlifting.org 

BWL will appoint a Nominations Panel, including three BWL Board members to assess all expressions of interest and those eligible candidates who have submitted successful expressions of interest will be notified prior to any submission to the EWF ahead of their deadline.
