Event Operations Manager 2024 World Para Powerlifting World Cup

British Weight Lifting (BWL) is recruiting an Event Operations Manager to deliver the 2024 World Para Powerlifting World Cup.

The World Para-Powerlifting World Cup is a high-profile international para powerlifting event that will form a key part of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games qualification cycle. British Weight Lifting has been awarded the hosting rights to the event in 2024.

The event, supported by event partners UK Sport and Manchester City Council, will be hosted from 18 to 27 June 2024 in Manchester, featuring c. 250 athletes from across the World including athletes from the UK.

In addition to supporting GB athlete success, hosting the event will also enable BWL to continue to build important relationships with World Para Powerlifting (WPPO), create opportunities for the development of coaches, classifiers, technical officials and volunteers, raise the profile of Para Powerlifting and engage the wider community by providing opportunities to get involved at every level of the sport.

The key role of the Event Operations Manager is to support BWL and the Event Director to deliver the best ever World Cup for the sport. As such, we are looking for an experienced Event Operations Manager with exceptional project management and event operational delivery skills.
