British athletes deliver impressive performances at the European Youth & U15 Championships
British Weight Lifting is proud to congratulate the athletes who represented Great Britain at the European Youth & U15 Championships, delivering commendable performances against the strongest young talent in Europe.

Our athletes demonstrated technical skill, composure under pressure, and a commitment to excellence throughout the competition. Their results reflect their dedication and hard work and speak to the continued development of youth weightlifting across the UK.
In the Men’s Youth 56kg category, Thomas Duggan produced a solid performance in his international debut on the 23 July. Thomas made his first snatch of 80kg, missing 83kg and 84kg in his second and final attempts. He followed with 99kg and 102kg in the clean & jerk, narrowly missing 105kg for his final attempt. This gave Thomas a 182kg total, which ranked him 8th overall.
A highlight of the competition came from Amelie Pelta on 27 July, who delivered an exceptional performance in the Youth Women’s 58kg category, earning two silver medals in the clean and jerk and total. Amelie went three for three in the snatch, making 76kg, 79kg and 81kg. She followed this with 97kg and 101kg in the clean & jerk, missing 104kg on her final attempt. Her 182kg total secured her a well-deserved place on the podium.
Also competing in the Youth Women’s 58kg category, Asees Dhanda showed great composure, making her final snatch at 77kg after two narrow misses at the same weight for her opener and second attempt. Asees then made her clean & jerk opener at 90kg. This gave her a 167kg total, which placed her 7th overall.
Annabelle Pettit also competed on the 27 July in the Youth 63kg category. Annabelle opened with a 74kg snatch and narrowly missed her second and third attempts at 77kg. In the clean & jerk, Annabelle dug deep to make 97kg on her final attempt, after missing her opener and second attempt at the same weight. Her 171kg total secured 8th place overall.
Pheobe Davis also lifted in the Youth 63kg category. After missing her opener and second attempt, Pheobe made an impressive jump up to 82kg to make her final snatch. In the clean & jerk, Pheobe made her opener at 90kg, narrowly missing her second and third attempt at 93kg. This gave Pheobe a 172kg total, placing her 6th in the rankings.
On the 29 July, Ruby Robinson competed in the Youth 69kg category. Ruby made her opening snatch of 72kg, and after missing 75kg on her second attempt, came out on her third to make the weight. She followed this with a three for three in the clean & jerk, making 92kg, 95kg and 100kg. This gave Ruby a 175kg total, which ranked her 7th.
On the 30 July, Ella Henrey competed in the U15 69kg category. Ella made all three snatches, hitting 65kg, 69kg and 72kg on the platform. Ella then missed her opener and second clean & jerk attempts at 90kg, but recomposed ad came out to hit the weight on her final attempt. This gave Ella a 162kg total which placed her 6th overall.
