Apply to be a Technical Official at the IWF World Championships

The 2026 IWF World Championships will be held in Ningbo, China, from 27 October – 8 November 2026.

Insofar as Technical Officials are concerned, Member Federations in good standing are eligible to nominate officials for the consideration of appointment by the International Weightlifting Federation.

In this regard, BWL seeks the expression of interest of suitably qualified and experienced technical officials who wish to be considered for nomination. To be eligible, British Officials must be Category 1 International Technical Officials and have officiated at least three (3) national events during the proceeding twelve months.

The completed form must be submitted to BWL no later than 1200hrs, 7 August 2026.

Nominations will be assessed and prioritised by the BWL Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Events Operations Manager.

Please note:

It must be emphasised that the appointment of technical officials is made by the IWF and not BWL.
