British Championships Expression of Interest

Expressions of interest are now open for Technical Officials wishing to support the British Championships, taking place at the NEC Birmingham from 11–13 July.

In recognition of your time and commitment, Technical Officials will receive:

  • £35 per day toward expenses (for a minimum of 3 groups per day)
  • £50 accommodation support for those officiating 2 days, and £100 for those officiating all 3 days (minimum 3 groups per day)

TCRR Updates - Amendments to the TCRR dated 13 March 2025

Definitions

Home Nation domiciled” Amended to read – The country within the UK that a person has been resident in and in membership of the Home Nation association.

5.3.1.1 Amended to read - Be domiciled in the United Kingdom.

5.3.1.3 Amended to read - To enter Tier 1 (England) events the aforementioned criteria apply. In addition, the Athlete must be domiciled in England.

5.3.2  Paragraph 2 amended to read - To enter Tier 3 events a person must be a member of British Weight Lifting.

6.4.11 The following sentence moved to 6.4.14 - Note, the 250g allowance will be applied to each athlete. This potentially could mean an athlete is under their officially entered bodyweight category. In accordance with 6.4.18 an Athlete may return to the weigh-in room as many times as necessary to make the bodyweight category.

6.4.14   Paragraph 1 amended to read - Athletes must be weighed in their weightlifting costume. Athletes must not wear shoes during the weigh-in. Socks are permitted but no allowance will be made for their weight. An allowance of 250 grams will be deducted from the weight shown on the scales to allow for the weight of the Costume.
