Weight Lifting Foundation Shifts Funding Focus
The Weight Lifting Foundation will reallocate funds from individual grants to club improvements after the 2024 British Championships.
Since 2013, the Weight Lifting Foundation (WLF) has awarded numerous grants to young lifters who achieved personal bests at international levels and set British records at national competitions.
Following a recent meeting, the WLF has decided to discontinue individual grants after the 2024 British Championships.
Instead, the Foundation plans to reallocate these funds towards improving clubs and facilities for the continued benefit of young lifters.
Records broken at the British Championships in Birmingham this July must be applied for by 17 August 2024.
BWL extends its gratitude to the WLF for their support of young lifters over the past 11 years and looks forward to strengthening the partnership through this refreshed club initiative.
