Team Announcement - Commonwealth Senior, Junior & Youth Championships

British Weight Lifting is proud to announce the team representing England at the Commonwealth Senior, Junior & Youth Championships from 17 to 21 September 2024 in Suva, Fiji.

Team England:

Jess Gordon Brown – W59: Recently finished number 1 at the British Championships in Birmingham with an 85 kg snatch and 110 kg clean and jerk. Jess is also a Commonwealth Silver Medallist from Birmingham 2022.

Erin Barton – W71: Finished number 2 at the British Championships, showing bravery with a 9 kg jump attempt in her last lift.

Madias Ngake – W87: Finished number 1 at the British Championships with a 116 kg snatch and 130 kg clean and jerk. Madias is a London 2012 Olympics - Bronze Medallist.

Dave Sawyer – Coach: Providing expert guidance and support to the team. Dave Sawyer, the GB National Coach, will be flying to Fiji soon after returning from Paris 2024 Olympics.
