Community Sport and Recreational Awards 2019

Last Friday saw the Community Sport and Recreational Awards take place in Edgbaston, Birmingham. The ceremony hosted by the Alliance’s president His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex recognised 15 sport and recreation clubs and organisations across five categories for their excellent and inspiring community projects.

Commonwealth Games Bronze medallist Emily Campbell spoke of the important roles grassroots clubs and sport play in creating Team England saying ,"Grassroots sport and volunteers will never truly know the lifelong impact they have on the people they work with. They help to make dreams like mine come true".
