Sarah Davies takes Gold at the 2025 European Championships

Tokyo 2020 Olympian Sarah Davies has achieved a career-high by winning her first European title at the 2025 European Weightlifting Championships in Chisinau, Moldova.

Competing in the women's 64 kg category, the 32-year-old delivered a worldclass performance to place 6^th in the snatch with 96kg, Gold in the clean and jerk with 127kg, and Gold overall with a total 223kg.

This victory marks a career-defining moment for Davies, who has previously earned silver medals at both the European and World Championships but had not clinched continental gold until now.   

In 2022, Sarah Davies also won the Gold medal at the Commonwealth Games and silver at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
