New BWL Regional & Masters Competitions!

The annual British Open has been replaced with Regional Open competitions!

These events are regional in location only – but are open to all members. By hosting more than one ‘open’ event per year BWL aims to provide additional opportunities for lifters across the country.

Typically, our regional open events will be split into two days. The first day will focus on younger lifters while the second day will give a chance to our senior athletes.  Alongside these events, we have also introduced a series of Masters Open competitions.

Trophies will be awarded to the top Sinclair lifter in each gender, with one trophy going to the best performer from the lightest four weight categories and one to the best performer from the heaviest four weight categories.

Entries for the Regional Open at Central Staffs, Stafford (3–4 May 2025) have been extended to 18 April – don’t miss your chance to take part!
