Lockdown Lift Off Round 4 Results

Lockdown Lift Off Round 4 challenged lifters across the UK to complete the Boxall New Challenge, designed by Commonwealth Games Medallist Owen Boxall, as part of the new virtual competition.

Every submission was reviewed by a BWL Technical Official, with a comment left on the video to indicate whether each attempt was successful, and any areas of improvement.  In addition, each submission was given a rating out of five stars based on the technique.  The technique points don’t count towards the score, the placings are based on the highest successful attempt.

There was a small field of entries for the Lockdown Lift Off 4 the `Boxall New Challenge` however there was some very good times among those who did compete.

The sole Men’s representative was Martyn Riley who actually did the original sequence prior to it being amended and made a respectable time of 7 minutes and 10 seconds competing in the 61kg class and in age group 6.

For the ladies we had in the 59kg class age group 6 Gemma Peregrine who manage a fast time of 2 minutes and 56 seconds in the altered sequence but still a very fast time, then in the 71kg class (even though she weighed just 61kg) and in age group 5 was Olivia Blatch who did a very fast time of 2 minutes and 38 seconds well done to each lifter who had a go and hope the day after was not too uncomfortable.
