Important Notice: British Open Cancelled

As a mark of respect and to honour Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, British Weight Lifting (BWL) has taken the decision to cancel the British Open at Loughborough University this weekend.

Lifters will be issued with refunds next week.

An alternative provision of qualification opportunity will be made for those identified athletes vying for World Championships selection.

We are currently speaking to the National Fitness Games to understand what this means for spectators who had purchased tickets to watch the British Open and an update will be posted on our website and social media channels in due course.
