This is your opportunity to dive head first into the world of event planning and promotion, where you'll get to develop skills that will help you not just in this project, but in your career too. You'll gain invaluable insights into what it takes to create a successful sports event, and perhaps be inspired to organise your own local competition or support other national events.

As part of the team organizing this national competition, you'll get to tackle a wide range of challenging and fun tasks that will help bring the event to life. You'll be involved in planning the schedule, creating engaging content for social media, coordinating the day, and even helping to officiate the competition itself. Your efforts will help create a great environment for the athletes and spectators.

British Weight Lifting is committed to supporting and mentoring all young people who volunteer. You'll have the chance to take on real responsibilities and decision making, with access to guidance, training and mentorship from some of the best in the business, including Maggie Lynes – Head of Events.
