Entry Details For The British International Open 2019

British Weight Lifting are pleased to announce that entries will officially open on Monday April 1 for individuals looking to enter the below competitions:

2019 British Para Powerlifting Championships
2019 British Development Open 2019
BWL British Masters Championships

All competitions will take place at The Ricoh Arena, Coventry between 7-9 June and seek to celebrate the success achieved by all generations involved in Weight Lifting and Para Powerlifting.

There will be no qualification totals required for the Development open which covers the U10 and U12 age groups. To view the latest Masters rankings click here.

Last week it was officially confirmed that the 2019 British Championships is an IWF Bronze event and will now be referred to as the British International Open 2019 whilst acting as a qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Athletes ranked within the top 8 of their category will receive an invite to compete at the International Open in the coming weeks. Elite international lifters from across the world will also be competing. Please note the qualification period runs until the end of April, with only the BWL North and South Open Series 1 given special designation as final qualification events.
