England Age Group Championships 2019 Results

The 2019 England Age Groups Championships saw a fantastic day of lifting at Venue 360, Luton. This event was new for this year and saw a high number of spectators and lifters attend, providing many highlights.

Lifters competed in age groups ranging from U10-U23, with a number of upcoming and established lifters in attendance.

A number of British records were broken across the competition with Jenny Tong setting a new British record in the Women’s 55kg category with a Clean & Jerk of 94kg. Deborah Alawode set two new British records in the 71kg category with a Clean & Jerk of 98kg and a total of 173kg.

Luca Michael broke three of his existing records with a Snatch of 91kg, a Clean & Jerk of 177kg and registered a total of 208kg in the Men's U23 61kg.
