Competition schedule for the Para Powerlifting World Cup has been revealed
The competition schedule for next month’s Manchester 2020 Road to Tokyo Para Powerlifting World Cup has been revealed.
The event takes place over four days from 20-23 February at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Forum and will see a 15-strong Great Britain team take on the world’s best for a chance to compete at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Thursday 20 February
Session times: 11:00-16:45, spectator doors will open 30 minutes before the start of the session
- Event one (11:00-12:05): women’s up to 41 kg, women’s up to 45 kg and women’s up to 50 kg
- Event two (13:00 – 13:45): women’s up to 55 kg
- Event three (15:30 – 16:30): men’s up to 49 kg

Friday 21 February
Session times: 11:00-18:55, spectator doors will open 30 minutes before the start of the session
- Event four (11:00 – 11:45): men’s up to 54 kg
- Event five (13:00 – 14:10): men’s up to 59 kg
- Event six (16:00 – 17:05): women’s up to 61 kg and women’s up to 67 kg
- Event seven (17:45 – 18:45): men’s up to 65 kg

Saturday 22 February
Session times: 11:00 – 18:40, spectator doors will open 30 minutes before the start of the session
- Event eight (11:00-12:00): men’s up to 72 kg
- Event nine (12:45 – 14:00): men’s up to 80 kg
- Event 10 (16:00 – 16:45): women’s up to 73 kg and women’s up to 79 kg
- Event 11 (17:30-18:30): men’s up to 88 kg, men’s up to 97 kg

Sunday 23 February
Session times: 11:00 – 14:50, spectator doors will open 30 minutes before the start of the session
- Event 12 (11:00-11:40): women’s up to 86 kg and women’s over 86 kg
- Event 13 (12:20-12:55): men’s up to 107 kg
- Event 14 (13:40-14:40): men’s over 107 kg

Victory ceremonies will take place after each event.
The competition schedule may be subject to change and all session times are approximate.
Tickets for the event are on sale through Eventbrite from just £8 for adults and £3 for children 14 years old and under (plus fees) with concession prices available for people 65 and over and those with accessibility requirements.
