BWL CEO appointed as International Federation (IF) delegate for Paris 2024

British Weight Lifting (BWL) is delighted to report that CEO / General Secretary Matthew Curtain has been appointed as the International Federation (IF) Delegate for the Olympic Games Paris 2024. This decision was determined by the IWF Executive Board upon its online meeting held on 1 September 2022.

Formerly known as Technical Delegate, the IF Delegate is the representative of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 to ensure the weightlifting events are planned, managed, and delivered in accordance with the IWF Technical and Competition Rules and Regulations and as agreed with the Organising Committee and the International Olympic Committee.
