As a BWL iNED, David will also Chair the Performance Committee.

His career includes extensive experience in performance management, athlete wellness, strength and conditioning, and strategic sport funding. Moreover, David also competed for Team Scotland in Swimming at three Commonwealth Games and in Weightlifting at national level.
David said ‘My motivation is to use my experience and skills in stakeholder engagement, funding management, and athlete support to create a holistic, high-performance culture which aligns with BWL’s vision for advancing athlete support, welfare, and performance outcomes’.
Independent BWL Chair Angus Kinnear commented ‘Independent Non-Executive Directors provide a vital role at BWL contributing to the NGB’s direction of travel and helping to advise on the delivery of the company’s strategic plan. I am very grateful to our Board members, old and new, for the time and expertise they give to ensure that our sport is well governed.’
