BWL Announces Team for the 2024 European Youth and U15 Championships

Kristian McPhee, Lead Pathway Coach, shared his enthusiasm for the event: "A strong team of the ten best youth weightlifters in the country travel to Greece next week to showcase their hard work and dedication over the last year. We have some rising stars stepping onto the international stage for the first time and some more experienced youths that are looking to build on previous performances. This is no doubt the strongest European Youth team we have taken since joining BWL and several athletes will be looking for medals and to perform against the strongest on the continent.

The coaching staff will also be a new cohort selected from our pathway coaching team, ensuring we have a strong coach development pathway and that the athletes have plenty of familiarity with the team. With this being the biggest stage through which athletes take their first steps into their international career, we hope for this to be a fantastic experience that will set them up for future success and build the next generation of British Weightlifters."
