British Weight Lifting named UK Active Learning and Development Supplier of the Year

British Weight Lifting is delighted to announce that it has been named as the 2018 Learning and Development Supplier of the year at this year’s UK Active Training Awards.

Thursday 15 November saw members of the physical activity sector celebrate the successes of workforce development at Unique Venues in Birmingham.

Underpinned by a rigorous judging process of independent experts and supported by CIMSPA, the sector’s Chartered Institute, The Active Training Awards – now in their fifth year - recognise the very best of learning, development and innovation across the sector. 

British Weight Lifting were recognised for their work in developing a new e-learning platform, developing new courses, including specialist Olympic Lifting and more general Strength and Conditioning options, to increase expertise and inclusivity within sport, as well as developing strong partnerships to offer far reaching education offers. They were also congratulated for their continued year on year growth in terms of educating new coaches and instructors with fully Internationally recognised and accredited courses.

This award recognises all the hard work and the positive impact BWL has had on the sector as we continue to showcase the very real benefits of teaching weight lifting in modern, safe environments that help make communities fitter, stronger and most importantly healthier”.
