British Weight Lifting at FITXPO UK

FITXPO UK is an unmissable show and an event like no other. Presenting the latest trends in fitness, nutrition, training and wellness, the event brings together the brightest and the best traders, fitness enthusiasts and thought-leaders in the fitness and wellness universe - all under one roof.

FITXPO UK was held 2-3 July at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre, and welcomed 150+ different brands. British Weight Lifting had a give-it-a-go stand at the event, with kit from Eleiko.

Ashleigh Smeaton and Zoe Kettle-Metcalfe from our education team were on hand for the duration of the event to provide visitors with information about British Weight Lifting, the sports of weightlifting and para powerlifting, membership, courses and competitions.

Heather Flannery, owner and coach at BWL Talent Academy Pride Performance was a welcome addition on Saturday. Heather led the give-it-a-go sessions, teaching a range of ages to snatch and clean and jerk, offering invaluable one to one coaching.

On Sunday, Eddie Halstead led the give-it-a-go sessions, offering 1:1 tuition to weightlifting newcomers, as well as providing advice and coaching tips to individuals who had tried lifting before and wanted to improve their technique.
