Here is a summary of this afternoons lifting.

Men's Categories

In the men’s 81kg class

  • Gold went to Chris Murray who lifted 313kg. In the Snatch Chris missed his first attempt at 139kg but was successful on his second and third attempt where he lifted 139kg and 143kg respectively. In the Clean & Jerk he lifted 170kg but then missed his second and third attempt of 176kg and 182kg respectively.
  • Silver went to Jason Epton who lifted 283kg. In the Snatch Jason lifted 122kg on his first lift but was unsuccessful on his second and third lift where he attempted 127kg. In the Clean & Jerk he lifted 155kg and 161kg but missed his final lift of 165kg.
  • Bronze went to Jamal Iasaac-shah who lifted 282kg. In the Snatch Jamal lifted 124kg on his first attempt but was unsuccessful on his second and third lift of 128kg. In the Clean & Jerk he lifted 158kg on his first attempt but was unsuccessful on his second and third lift of 162kg.

In the men’s 89kg class

  • Gold went to Ed Smale who lifted 296kg. In the Snatch Ed lifted 131kg and 136kg but missed 141kg on this final lift. In the Clean & Jerk he missed 160kg but hit it on his second attempt. He missed 167kg as his final lift.
  • Silver went to Ollie Cahill who lifted 280kg. In the Snatch Ollie lifted 125kg, missed his second lift of 130kg but was successful when attempting the same weight for this final lift. In the Clean & Jerk he was successful in his first attempt at 150kg but missed 155kg on his second and third attempt.
  • Bronze went to Stefano Cataldi who lifted 278kg. In the Snatch Stefano missed his first and second attempt of 115kg and 118kg but was successful at 118kg for his final lift. In the Clean & Jerk he lifted 155kg and 160kg but missed his final lift of 161kg.

In the men’s 96kg class

  • Gold went to Jack Dobson who lifted 310kg. In the Snatch Jack lifted 130kg, 135kg and 138kg. In the Clean & Jerk he lifted 163kg, 168kg and 172kg.
  • Silver went to David Steel who lifted 295kg. In the Snatch David lifted 120kg, missed his second lift of 125kg but successfully hit 130kg on his final lift. In the Clean & Jerk he lifted 150kg, 157kg and 165kg.
  • Bronze went to Johnny Reaney who lifted 283kg. In the Snatch Johnny lifted 125kg, 130kg and 133kg. In the Clean & Jerk he missed his first and third lift but was successful when lifting 150kg on his second attempt.

In the men’s 102kg class

  • Gold went to Ashley Wiles who lifted 267kg. In the Snatch Ashley lifted 115kg and 122kg but missed his final lift of 126kg. In the Clean & Jerk he missed his first and third attempt but was successful when lifting 145kg on his second attempt.

In the men’s 109kg class

  • Gold went to Jordan Sakkas who lifted 330kg. In the Snatch Jordan lifted 140kg, 144kg and 147kg. In the Clean & Jerk he lifted 180kg, 183kg but missed his final lift of 186kg.
  • Silver went to Chris Palser-Thorne who lifted 320kg. In the Snatch Chris lifted 132kg, 136kg and 140kg. In the Clean & Jerk he lifted 180kg on his first attempt but missed his second and third attempt at 186kg.
  • Bronze went to Omar Keshta who lifted 320kg. In the Snatch Omar missed his first and second attempt but was successful on his third attempt lifting 140kg. In the Clean & Jerk he missed his first (180kg) and third (187kg) attempt but was successful lifting 180kg on his second attempt.

In the men’s 109+kg class

  • Gold went to Andrew Griffiths who lifted 335kg. In the Snatch Andrew lifted 150kg, missed his second lift of 155kg but was successful lifting this on this third attempt. In the Clean & Jerk he lifted 180kg on his second attempt but missed his first (180kg) and third (187kg) attempt.

Women's Categories

In the women’s 64kg class

  • Gold went to Caroline Doyle who lifted 176kg. In the Snatch Caroline lifted 75kg, 78kg and 81kg. In the Clean & Jerk she lifted 95kg but missed her final two lifts when attempting 98kg.
  • Silver went to Chloe Briggs who lifted 171kg. In the Snatch Chloe lifted 76kg but then missed her second and third attempts of 79kg and 80kg respectively. In the Clean and Jerk she lifted 92kg, 95kg but then missed her final lift of 98kg.
  • Bronze went to Lesley Brown who lifted 165kg. In the Snatch Lesley lifted 72kg on her first attempt, was unsuccessful lifting 75kg on her second attempt but secured it on her third lift. In the Clean & Jerk she lifted 90kg on her first attempt but was unsuccessful on her second and third attempt of 93kg and 94kg respectively.

In the women’s 71kg class

  • Gold went to Sarah Davies who lifted 226kg. In the Snatch Sarah lifted 98kg and 100kg but was unsuccessful on her third attempt of 102kg. In the Clean & Jerk she missed her first and third lift but her second lift was successful at 126kg.
  • Silver went to Faye Pittman who lifted 195kg. In the Snatch Faye missed her first and second attempt of 85kg but was successful on her third attempt at 85kg. In the Clean & Jerk she lifted 110kg but missed her second and third attempt of 113kg.
  • Bronze went to Alice Aitchison who lifted 188kg. In the Snatch she lifted 77kg, 80kg and 83kg. In the Clean & Jerk she missed her first and third lift but was successful in her second lifting 105kg.

In the women’s 76kg class

  • Gold went to Deborah Alawode who lifted 204kg. In the Snatch Deborah lifted 83kg and 87kg but missed her third lift of 91kg. In the Clean & Jerk she lifted 110kg, 113kg and 117kg.
  • Silver went to Natalia Priscepa who lifted 203kg. In the Snatch Natalia lifted 85kg, 90kg and 92kg. In the Clean & Jerk she lifted 106kg, missed her second attempt of 110kg, but was successful on the final lift with 111kg.
  • Bronze went to Sarah Wiltshire who lifted 194kg. In the Snatch Sarah lifted 82kg, 85kg and 88kg. In the Clean & Jerk Sarah lifted 103kg and 106kg but then missed the final lift when attempting 111kg.

In the women’s 87kg class

  • Gold went to Nicola Stiddard who lifted 205kg. In the Snatch Nicola lifted 85kg, missed her second lift of 90kg but hit it on her third attempt. In the Clean & Jerk she lifted 108kg on her first attempt, missed 112kg but hit 115kg on her third lift.
  • Silver went to Jennifer Houghton who lifted 194kg. In the Snatch Jennifer missed her first attempt of 86kg but hit it on her second lift. She missed her final lift of 90kg. In the Clean & Jerk she missed 108kg on her first attempt but hit it on her second lift. She missed her final lift where she attempted 112kg.
  • Bronze went to Emily Sweeney who lifted 190kg. In the Snatch she lifted 80kg and 83kg but missed her final lift of 85kg. In the Clean & Jerk she lifted 102kg and 107kg but missed her final lift of 110kg.

In the women’s 87+kg class

  • Gold went to Leah Clarke who lifted 210kg. In the Snatch she lifted 90kg but missed her second and third attempt of 94kg. In the Clean & Jerk she lifted 120kg but missed her second and third lift of 124kg.
  • Silver went to Rebecca Gilbert who lifted 172kg. In the Snatch Rebecca lifted 70kg and 76kg but missed her final lift of 80kg. In the Clean & Jerk she lifted 92kg and 96kg but missed her final lift of 100kg.
