2019 World Para Powerlifting Championships Squad Announcement

British Weight Lifting are pleased to announce the team selected for the 2019 World Para Powerlifting Championships taking place between 13 -20 July.

The squad is as follows:

Ali Jawad (men’s 54)

Adam Alderman (men’s 49)

Oliver Brown (men’s 65)

Nathaniel Wilding (men’s 72)

Ross Austen (men’s 80)

Louise Sugden (Women’s 86)

Olivia Broome (Women’s 50)

Zoe Newson (Women’s 41)

The competition will take place in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, formerly Astana with a 1-day junior world championship taking place before the seniors on the 13^th to the 20^th July.

It is a mandatory event for Tokyo eligibility and qualification rankings.
