Team Announcement - IWF World Junior Championships

British Weight Lifting is delighted to announce the team that will represent Great Britain at the IWF World Junior Championships, scheduled from 19 to 27 September 2024 in Leon, Spain.

Team GBR:

Erin Friel – W71: Erin finished 4th at the recent British Championships with an 86 kg snatch and 109 kg clean and jerk, breaking the British record for the U20 71 kg category in both lifts and a 195 kg total.

Maddie Rosher – W71: Maddie secured 4th place at the 2024 European Youth Weightlifting Championships in Thessaloniki, Greece, with an 83 kg snatch and 106 kg clean and jerk, totalling 189 kg.

Isabella Brown – W76: Isabella is the British record holder for the U20 and U23 categories in the 76 kg category, with a 97 kg snatch and 120 kg clean and jerk, totalling 217 kg. Additionally, Isabella is a European Junior Bronze Medallist.

Stuart Martin, Kristian McPhee, and Julie Morrish will be accompanying the athletes as coaches.
