With live competitions back in full flow there are now more opportunities for lifters to train hard and produce good results on the platform. Across the country there are plenty of young lifters who have been developing well and gone on to set new British Age Groups records. Below we walkthrough some of the recent events as well as the records broken over the past couple of weeks.

Emily Campbell made history in Tokyo by becoming the first British woman to medal in weightlifting at the Olympic Games by securing silver to win Great Britain’s first medal since 1984 where David Mercer took bronze in Los Angeles.
The Virtual British Championships took place between 30 June and 7 July, providing lifters with the opportunity to once again compete and provide a focus for their training, with the much-anticipated ability to return to their clubs.
The 2021 ELEIKO Email International Club Weightlifting Tournament is taking place again between 6 - 8 August 2021.
ParalympicsGB has confirmed the selection of five Powerlifters who will compete at the rescheduled Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
