Catrin Jones Secures 4th Place

Catrin Jones from Bangor finished in 4th place at the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Junior World Championships which took place in Uzbekistan last week.

Catrin, 19, competed in the Women’s 53kg category against some of the World’s best weightlifters to finish 4th overall, Catrin lifted 71kg in the snatch and 93kg in the clean and jerk for an overall total of 164kg.

Catrin also represented Wales at the Commonwealth Games earlier this year, where she registered a 10kg PB total.
