British University and College Championships

This weekend saw The British University and College Championships take place at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.

Over 100 lifters, coaches and spectators attended the two-day competition with over 50 universities and colleges represented with Brunel Weightlifting Club finishing in 1st place. 

The competition saw Hallam Barbell lifter Jenny Tong set a new British Senior record with a Snatch of 78kg in the Women’s 53kg.

Cyrille Fagat Tchatchet II representing Middlesex University set a new under 23 British Senior record with a Snatch of 157kg in the Men’s 94kg category.
